Community Outreach

Sultana began her work as a youth pastor and evangelist in Fairfax VA. Her Vacation Bible Schools took her into several communities where she began School Supply Drives, Food Bank ministry and community dinners for the poor. She has worked with Shop with the Sherif, Hearts & Hammers, Burke Cares, and many local churches as her work expanded. She organized a Community Fair under Jesus Day 2000 event. She received a citizen of the year award in the Burke VA area. When Sultana and Kevin moved to the Woodbridge area, she received a vision to put on a Peoples Banquet to bring the rich, poor, and the homeless together for a grand event at the Hylton Memorial Chapel. This event brought several businesses, churches, and private citizens to provide food, music, entertainment, and guest speakers. Mama T as Sultana likes to be called, has successfully put on 4 of these Peoples Banquets, but has not done one this year due to the COVID-19 crisis. However, Mama T still operates her food bank, daily and networks with other churches to meet the needs of hurting people.
